Hawaiian Bros Nutrition FAQ

A Classic plate runs 1,210 to 1,540 calories, because the price includes rice and macaroni salad. Huli Huli Chicken is the lightest at 1,210 and Luau Pork the heaviest at 1,540. The Big Plate roughly doubles everything, from 2,020 for Huli Huli to 2,520 for Luau Pork.
Huli Huli Chicken is the lightest plate at 1,210 calories with the lowest sodium of any plate at 2,640 mg. To go lower, order the protein from the mixed plate list and skip the macaroni salad: Huli Huli Chicken on its own is 170 calories for 13 g of protein, and seasoned vegetables are 70 against 420 for a small macaroni salad.
Luau Pork, and it is not close. A Classic Luau Pork plate is 80 g of protein and The Big Plate is 122 g, against 48 g and 74 g for Honolulu Chicken. As an extra protein add-on, Luau Pork gives 32 g for 340 calories, the best protein-per-calorie ratio on the menu at about 10.6 calories per gram.
This is the number to watch. A Kilauea Chicken Big Plate is 6,130 mg of sodium and a Molokai Chicken Big Plate is 6,050, both well above a full day's recommended intake in one meal. Even a Classic Huli Huli plate, the lowest of the six, is 2,640 mg. White rice adds almost none at 0 to 15 mg.
A small macaroni salad is 420 calories with 32 g of fat, and The Big Plate portion is 1,250 calories with 95 g of fat. It is the single heaviest side on the menu. Swapping it for seasoned vegetables at 70 calories or pineapple at 110 saves 310 to 350 calories on a Classic plate.
A small white rice is 220 calories and The Big Plate portion is 670. On a mixed plate the rice is published larger again at 450 calories for Classic and 670 for Big Plate. Rice is the lowest sodium item on the menu at 0 to 15 mg, so it is the cheap part of a plate nutritionally.
Seasoned vegetables at 70 calories, pineapple at 110 and a mini Dole Soft Serve at 90. Among proteins, Huli Huli Chicken is 170 calories for 13 g of protein. For a full meal the Pacific Island Salad is 590 calories with 24 g of protein, the lightest complete item on the menu.
A full Dole Soft Serve is 180 calories in every flavor, with 1 g of fat and 38 to 42 g of sugar. The mini is exactly half at 90. The twist combinations are also 180, so pineapple with lime and pineapple with raspberry match the single flavors. A white chocolate macadamia nut cookie is 350.
